We have been hard at work recently in the school gardens, planting, potting and experimenting!! The results are clear to be seen! We have beautiful window boxes blooming with violas, pansies and heathers. Nasturtiums, poppies, and wildflower seeds have been sown along the side of the school. We hope to see lots of wildlife outside our classroom windows because of our beautiful flowers!
We also grew cress in the classrooms! We found out that cress can grow pretty much anywhere!! Our cress only took one week to grow and when it was ready....We ATE it!!! Yum yum!

World Record Attempt!
Good luck to the four lucky 6th class children who are participating in a world record attempt at the largest group of people knitting together! This event takes place during the Easter holidays. We hope they do very well!

Green Schools
Hi Everyone! Great news!! We had our second Green Schools Inspection on Monday 11th April and we passed with flying colours!! We have our second green flag!! Congratulations and a huge well done to all of the pupils who put a huge effort into earning this flag! We would like to give a special mention to this year's Green School's Committee who were fantastic! They made sure that the pupils (and teachers!) categorised their waste properly, that all lights and switches were turned off when not in use, that draught excluders were used in the old part of the school, that the blinds were closed in the evening to conserve heat, among many other responsibilities .....the list just goes on and on!
